    Thank you. Did you need to sand before paint? Also did you remove trim, insert plastic and attach trim over plastic before painting?

    O2360spider knows how to do it. SEM Trim paint will work just fine, looks good and lasts a long time. If it fades, respray it again. Easy. If it peals, you did not prep the metal correctly.

    A little WD-40 on a cloth can also liven up a dulling black trim. Much more preferable to me than that slimy silicone stuff of various names. I use WD-40 on my tires, trim etc. No long term residue that will never allow anything you want to have painted, be painted without an outbreak of "fish-eyes". FWIW...

    SEM is great stuff. It's most valuable trait is that it has UV blockers in it. Perfect for exposed trim.

    WD-40 is great on the engine manifolds too. Makes them a proper red.
