When’s the last time you flushed the brake fluid? I’m thinking the caliper pistons are stuck in the calipers.

Open a caliper bleed screw and see if it moves, it will confirm the master cylinder has not locked up.

Try neutral for start and see if it works. May bypass the brake switch.

    This.

Open the front trunk. Remove the panel at the rear of the trunk and loosen a bleed screw on the brake master cylinder.

I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the car. I think what you are feeling is the brake pedal with no boost. It is normal.

Key on..step on the brake..see if the brake lights turn off and on by pressing and releasing the brake pedal a few times. If they operate at they should..click the car into neutral and start it up.

Thank you so much for the tip. Going to try to start in neutral before I release bleed screw.
Man, what a great idea..will go downstairs and attempt right now. Thank you so much.

Well sir, did as you suggested...I do have brake lights and I let off and pressed several times...lights work just fine...car in neutral, but would not start...turned over, but would not fire...petal still hard as a brick...going to open up caliber bleed screw to see if petal will go down. Thanks again.

OK. Assuming you hit the fob to disarm the alarm. Do you hear the pump running? When you open the drivers door you should hear a noticable buzzing sound. After about 10-15 seconds it should shut off. Also note..do you have a flashing light on the dash when keyed up..but not running?

Ahh glad you figured it out and it was an easy fix.

I got in my 430 with my wife and turned the ignition key several times, wondering why it wouldn’t start. Yea, gotta push the “Start” button. My wife just shook her head :)

William- We all do stuff like that. One reason when I go to the gas station to get gas, I always lock the Ferrari while pumping. Keeps me from hopping back in and then listening to the engine turning over and not starting.
