I bought this guide before I purchased the car and felt while it was 'ok' it didn't really have much 'buyers' guide type information in it! More information that seems to be freely available on the web. The example prices for adverts where also quite out of date. Still work the £8 just for the read but not in any way comprehensive enough.

Of all the things that they should cover (and I hope the authors address this in a future update) and that is understanding the VIN / chassis number. I gleaned this from the web and it was so valuable to ensure the car was legit, understand the year of production (to verify the cars age, etc.) and the destination market (to verify where it came from originally). It also gives you engine type, etc. Invaluable and missing!

I would also like to see some example servicing experiences from the various dealerships and kinds of service quality owners have had. Other missing things would be example servicing costs (nice to have) and examples of cost of replacing a clutch, cambelt, routine annual service, etc. Just saying if you have to ask you cannot afford it is rubbish, this info is useful so you can negotiate with the seller if these things need doing and they haven't yet been done!

Just to give you an idea...

    --
June 2005 - Service at Lancaster Colchester -

    Total cost £1,900.
    --
August 2004 - Service at Lancaster Colchester -
Collect car on transporter (1235+VAT alone!!), remove gearbox & fit clutch, bearings and seals,
    Total cost £2,900.
    --

Brake service (discs & calipers all around), oil sump gasket replacement, steam clean, exhaust gasket replacement (emissions failure), oil service,
    Total cost £3,400.

So there you have it, the 360 is an expensive car to run!
