As far as looks and quality who makes the best carbon fiber air boxes?
Also has anyone ever had their air boxes chromed?

Tubi makes the best in my view. I installed some on my 360 a little while ago and posted a thread here. There are some clear photos at the end (page 2).

Contact Steve at T. Rutlands for pricing. Let him know Ray referred you and see what he can do. I also purchased my Tubi from Steve... good guys over there. Anyway, the Tubi carbon fiber air boxes are very nice and a little more low slung / sleek that some of the other ones around. I'm very happy with them myself and think it's a great addition to the engine compartment.

Some people polish the stock ones, although I personally like the look of the carbon fiber better myself. I don't think Chrome would look very good, unless you are seeking to draw attention away from the best part of the car (i.e. the motor) :)

We expect to have some out in time for the Concorso Italiano. Ours are somewhat different from the others out there, and we're drawing on our experience with the f430 airboxes that we've been making for almost a year. If you're not in a rush, it would pay to wait, but no promises on exact availability date.

It is clearly a matter of personal preference and taste.

i've seen a yellow 360 spyder with a stock engine bay all chromed out.
definitely hurts ur eyes when looking in sunlight.
over time, the chrome layer had some flaking and peeling, which was very noticeable in that yellow 360.

We've been making 360 air boxes for quite a while. Customers have been really happy with them, and they set off the engine bay quite nicely. Ours are a bit more "domed" than the Tubis which seem pretty flat. In addition, ours are a bit more limited production than the Tubis and would certainly set you apart from the Tubi horde. Drop us a line if you are interested.
