Was reading through the posts on CF Airboxes for 360s and now that mine have arrived I am wondering what the general consensus is on installation?

What has your experience been? Is it really a simple "10 minute job" or do I have to turn the battery off, have some ECU reset something or other?

In other words, can an non-mechanical person really do this or is it more involved? I don't want to get started only to screw something up, so as to avoid any problems, I'd just assume have a mechanic do it right...if in fact a mechanic is even required for this job.

Experiences and even photos would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

Just be careful you don't drop the screws while doing the switch and don't over tighten them on the new airboxes.

Did anyone find that the CF airboxes really compress (as opposed to the stock) the vacuum hose? I took the stock off no problem and can get 3 out of 4 screws on the new box, but it seems like I am "pressing" the new box forward to meet the screws as opposed to the OEM box which lined up (maybe for the clips) really well and allowed the hose to be expanded.

I do think the CF box coupler wasn't seated right, so I measured the depth to that of the MAF extension and it fits perfectly at the MAF, it's the 4 screws meeting that is the problem.

And yes, I already dropped 2 washers, though no screws...
