as the 360 stradale is super expensive etc, and is very nice and all, has anyone considered making a 360 challenge car street legal...put in a second seat, and I think that it might be possible, along with a legit exhaust...at least its an idea, and would be FAST if a bit dangerous due to a visciously aggressive suspension setup! but they are cheap arent they, if theyve been used some so...any thoughts?

Can't be done legally in the US. All Challenge cars were imported for racing only. No title, no DOT or EPA certification. Even if you could finagle a way to get a title and state registration, you couldn't insure it. And if you ever did, and tried to sell it as a street car, the Customs service could seize your car and crush it.

Not to mention that the 360 Challenge really IS a race car, unlike, say, the 355 Challenge which could, if you really, really, really wanted to, be driven on the street.

Save your money, buy a high mileage 360 Modena, and modify it to be faster than the Stradale. :)

    vty,

a cubed ferrari is not a pleasent thought

(referring to the fact of the customs crushing a car, if my dry humor was too dry to understand)

A buddy of mine ran the Challenge series. He also has a motorcycle dealership.....I often see that 360 Challenge tooling around town with a dealer tag!

From what I recall, only the 1995 355 challenges were able to be converted back to street cars.

I assume you "can" make a 96-99 355ch into a street car but would not be very worthwhile.

I guess if you get a racecar...keep it on the track ;)

Dennis is right. You can't convert the 360 Challenge to a road car like you can with the 355 Challenge.

Just come to the Ferrari French Quarter Classic in New Orleans (see LA forum). Last year there were several challenge cars driven on the street in the road rally. Driven on little narrow streets at high rates of speed as well.
