360 Challenge in Classic Adelaide 2006

waz356 and i head off on the trek of the great divide, mad dash to Melb to collect the new toy, need to be back tomorrow night before the sun goes down and then the work starts on suspension to get it right for the classic. will get pics tomorrow morning with matches holding our eyes open and brekky at maccas.

nah, we're trailering it back - although that was an option there for a while. too many road nazis out there these days for that kind of fun.

I gathered that mate. I meant you may be able to get behind the wheel and give it a little drive when back in SA. On goobers estate. Big enough......isnt it?

 

I would have offered to as well........but the though of a race seat and LOUD exhaust for 24 hours straight or whatever the trip will take ya's, kinda puts me off!

and i thought about a track on the estate but the insurance is a killer, and the cost of bitumen, so 35 min from adel and 200 acres to play but its all grass and hills, could put the 360 up like a monster truck and drive around

 

no, no, it really was an option for a while, but i'll wait until he builds his private racetrack through the olive groves

 

the slicks on it would be a dead set giveaway for the SA nazis, i was gonna put a PS2 wheel on the passenger side so waz would look like he is driving

 

about as close as i would get. at least the ps2 would be making the right noise.

 

Wow!! That would have been cool. Bitumen costs a mint. Friend spent $15K to bitumen 20 metres wide x 9 metres deep out the front of his transmission rebuild workshop. Thats a nice short drive to Melb. Pity PP wasnt there. You could have had brunch with him.

 

we wont be there that long. 7am tomorrow we're picking up the car. 7:15 we're back on the road to sadelaide. (maybe 7:30 - after we've had a perv around MM )

 

Or maybe 10.30am.

 

35 minutes from Adelaide, that would be Birdsville right?
