Would any challenge car owners be willing to take some detailed pictures of how their one piece seat, lap belts, and sub strap are mounted? I am interested in mounting a one piece seat for my 360, and have had a hard time finding much info on how to fabricate a mount, attaching lap belts, sub strap, etc. I'm tall, and want to mount sparco evo 2's to gain more headroom. I've tried the Ferrari and Sparco sport seats, and they are a little narrow for me, and sit me up a little high.

    Thanks!

Dave do you have access to a 360 CH parts book? there is a picture of the seat and hardware in there, Table No. 116. My 355CH has the same seat and hardware as the 360 does. It would somewhat difficult to convert over to the CH harness system not impossible but not all that easy you would have to do some hole drilling mounting plate welding to do it properly. PM me if you can't find the CH parts book pic. I could scan my page at work and Email it to you. Regards, Vern

    Hi Vern,
I have the dvd 360 shop manual, but it doesn't include the parts manual. Discovery Parts was at the Roebling event last weekend, and I showed him my car. He thought he would take 2 flat steel bars, and bend one of the ends (the factory welds angled tabs to mount the front of the seat track to the floorpan). Bolt these two bars to the floor pan, and then either bolt the side mounts to these bars, or bolt a slider in between them. He also thought he would mount the lap belts to the door sill and to the tunnel, but the factory mounts the stock belts to the seat rail, and I don't think the tunnel is structural on the 360. My thought is to bolt eyelets to the steel seat sidemounts to attach lap belts. Thats what Porsche does for their GT3 one piece seat. I think they also attach the sub belts to the seat rail as well. For the shoulder belts, I'm thinking of going to the rear bulkhead just below the leather portion, in the carpet, if it is thick enough, and just thru bolt it with 4"x4" backing plates. If you wouldn't mind sending me a pic of the 360 seat schematic, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!
    David
