It was for sale at Ferrari Beverly Hills in March, 2005; Rosso Scuderia with red and black Alcantara, hi-fi, fire extinguisher, one owner, 1,040 miles. Seven months later, it was at Silicon Valley Auto Group; they still had it in January, 2006. Then Scottsdale Ferrari had it on eBay in June, 2008; 4,122 miles, starting bid $150,000. Three months later, it was on eBay through Andy Cohen's Beverly Hills Classic Cars, 4,444 miles, $209,950. It showed up on eBay again earlier this year (June) through a private seller in New York; 6,289 miles, $128,000. Then again back in September, $125K.
^ I can't tell you how much I appreciate the fact that you have records like these. It makes buying a specific car a dream for someone.
Absolutely. What do you need? I know that you usually ask for the VIN. What else does adding to the great Carbon Vault entail?
I just sold my CS two months ago--red with factory stripe and 12k miles. You can ask what ever you want the market will tell you what the car is worth. There not selling for 140 or 150k.
thank you for the input. this car is for a good friend of mine that lives abroad ans uses his ferraris only on vacation when he comes to miami so if he decides to get it i will have a PPI done at ferrari of long island thks again
search the last six digits of the vin on this forum. you will discover some interesting information about this car that may make you think twice before making an offer on it.
If it is the car I'm thinking of, there may be some accident history. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad car, just something to be aware of.
You are correct that the market will let you know what the price is for it.. I know for a fact the C/S is selling for between $140-$150K(or more) as myself and three others have paid those prices over the last few months. They do range in price--so if you can get the C/S you want for sub $120's then I think you are going to be very happy.
Well, the basics would be the VIN, exterior/interior colors, options and current mileage. But if you wanna go all out, then you could include when and from you bought it, mileage at the time of purchase, assembly number, engine number, date of production, any past history you might know (previous number of owners, locations, etc.).
long story short: acid leaked from a battery tender of a car stored above the CS on a lift. acid dripped over the engine hatch, roof, and quarter panels. while the engine hatch damage has likely been repaired, I would look over the roof/quarter panels carefully.
Amazing how you guys know all the details of so many of the cars for sale. I will surely be posting the VIN of the next Ferrari I entertain the thought of buying !!
