I just put a set of challenge wheels on a 360 spyder, but I noticed that the wheel gap is 3 fingers in the back and two in the front. Did I go with the wrong tire size? I put on Michelin Pilot Sport 235 40 18 front and 295 35 18 back....any suggestions?

    yes.

The stock tires 215/45ZR18 front and 275/40ZR18 rear have rolling radii of 25.6" and 26.8" respectively. I spent some time wondering around Tire Rack and can't find a pair of max performance tires that have the correct rolling radii other than the stock Ferrari sizes.

The tires you put on have rolling radii of 25.4" and 26.2" respectively. So you lost 0.2" of ground clearance front and 0.6" cleanrance back, but just as importantly, you increased the fender to tire distance by the same amount (0.2" and 0.6").

Since you have changed the rake of the chassis, you have also changed the roll couple distribution and I would not be surprised to hear that the car now oversteers even though you have more rubber on the road at the rear.

whoa......i have not driven the car since i put the wheels and tires on. i wanted to change the wheels and considered many options, including 19in wheels made by hre but they all came out to the same sizing the 19in would have had 235 35 19 front and 295 30 19 back(like driving on rubberbands) and i figured i could not go wrong with the challenge wheels.

In the 19" catagory, you have the option of 245/35ZR19 at 25.8" and 295/35ZR19 at 27.1" in pilot sports, but Tire Rack recommends 225/35ZR19 and 285/35ZR19.

Right now there is not enough tire selection in the 19" range to warrent using 19" wheels. In addition the sweet spot for high traction tires is closer to 17" than even 18" where the number of tires available is considerably lower than at 17". At 19"s the selection is rather dismal.
