360 circuit information - sports mode & shocks

    Does any one one know how the circuit works for the sports mode on the shocks? basically there is two wires going to each shock. When sports mode is switched on which hardens the shocks, does the car simply put 12 volts to the shock to harden them up or is there much more to it than that. For example is there a variable voltage controlled by the ECU sent to the shocks or is it a simple on or off, any one?
