I just picked up my 2005 360 Spider F-1. Having a great time driving everyday. Is the clock supposed to be invisible except when the headlights are on? The 24 hour setting is annoying enough, but having to turn on the lights to see it is too much.

I have an '02 and my lights do not have to be on to see the clock. However, I'm stuck on military time too.

I bought it at ALgar after a 5 year wait. Been driving it any day it doesn't rain or snow.

The headlights do not have to be on but it is just so dim in daylight it is useless. With the top down it just looks like a black rectangle.

Hmmm. My '05 Spider clock reads okay with the top down in daylight. Of course, I live in Seattle so what do I know about daylight!

Is the clock brightness controlled by the dash gauge brightness? My clock brightness seems to be maxed out because the digits are almost "bleeding". If so, try up'ing the dash brightness and see if the clock is also modified.

I left the dealer about 2 years ago so I have not heard of a possible change to something as minor as a clock. Your 05 clock may have been improved. The early ones were so dim some people did not know it was a clock.

Try turning your interior lights up some. That may be your problem.

Very old thread... just doing my search homework....

So, anybody know how to change from military time to 12-hour mode, or am I out of luck?

Out of luck I'm afraid Zippy. They all are 24 hour and there is no way of altering it! :(
