Just a rhetorical observation but it looks like the smaller one is the plated rare earth type "neodymium?". I have had a few of those plated magnets in my garage and over time the plating comes off and is quite a mess but this was on larger magnets about the size of a pack of matches. To me they would both need to be the same length unless that shorter is a more powerful.

Thanks for your reply. The short magnet did not work and had to be replaced with the larger magnet. Wonder why the small magnet came with the new clutch position sensor It was a long process, but finally figured out the small magnet did not work.

That's correct. We had to take everything apart again. When I purchased the new clutch position sensor from Ricambi(7 months ago) it came with a "new style" magnet. Now when you look up that part number it states "magnet not included, use old magnet" It's just CRAZY!
