Today I experienced clutch problem with my 360 manuel, when put in reverse the clutch suddenly stay to the floor for 1-2 seconds and then normal again. When trying to put in first gear-it got stuck on reverse- not disengaging. Had to turn of the engine and put it on neutral. Pumping the pedal result on the pedal looseing pressure. Checked the black metal box on the side of the gearbox- no leakage! The level of hydraulic fluid in front was normal. The last weeks when starting the car it has made a kind of " dry pump noise" for 5-10 seconds- and then normal sounding.
Am I looking at a blown clutch pump do you think?

Check the slave cylinder first. Sounds to me like a bad seal somewhere.

$100 or less fix for a normal car. For a Ferrari????

I've had somewhat similar symptoms from time to time in the past.

I'd recommend bleeding a certain amount of fluid through the system. This has helped me in the past and it's an easy and cheap first thing to try. Just be careful not to over tighten the nipple on the bleeding block for reasons I suspect you already know - it's prone to cracking if you have the earlier OEM version.

    Best of luck.

The slave cylinder is inside the front of the gearbox. You have to remove the transmission just to access it. $100 will not get you very far on a 360 slave failure im afraid!

My neighbor just paid a shop down the street $250 for a battery for his 20 year old Honda.

$100 probably won't cover a tow to the shop these days.

Now, why would he do that ? Was that for a problem / diagnosis, too.....or just a replacement battery + labor ?

That's why......ahem.... some of us don't enjoy taking our cars into shops for service anymore...

He's just a sap, thought that was a good price. Paid full retail + labor, couldn't have taken ten minutes.
