Did you fit a 360 Challenge Race car (non valved) system ? That's quite an aggressive sound... Its also one of the lightest systems you can fit. Significantly lighter (and louder!) than the 360 Challenge 'Style' exhaust fitted to the 360 as an optional extra and CS as standard. Its a great sound but I just never liked the look of the single exit pipes (although admittedly they weight a lot less)...
360Trev yes Sir that was new in the box factory Challenge Race system no valve, agree about to single tip but less weight. It sounds great not to loud
The single tip doesn't look bad but I think a slightly bigger tip would look better if going single Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw Randy's pic. @Randy: have you considered getting the larger titanium tips from a 430 Scud perhaps? Think it would look amazing. I've still got a 360 Challenge system sitting in my garage somewhere too
360Trev thanks as all ways you are the best, if you can tell me where you would get the titanium 430 Scud tip that would be great ! I talk you CarbonDan he has a timate used exhaust on Ebay 2200.00 been thinking about about buying it .
Battery tray was welded in by Performance Welding it is not going any where . Going to get rid of the Odyssey battery and replace with Braille battery carbon fiber one they are around 4.9 pounds Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't do it. The Timate systems are very light but are brittle because they are so thin walled and the torque through the gears can be very aggressive especially with cs tcu. I had mine replaced a few times so be wary of this if you plan to take it. Find a good titanium welder close to you as they aren't really up to heavy duty use, especially out on the track which I think you'd be lucky to get a couple of trackday out of without it splitting apart. Regular road use may be ok but they still break. I think it would be better to make them out of Incornel which is the approach Ferrari factory did with the recent 599 GTO. Less chance of cracking. If you really must get one I would give you my old one for half that price as its sat in my garage for years ever since I went to the 360 Challenge (race) and then found a brand new 360 Challenge Style one. To be honest the best system (overall) is the one you have now, its the SAME weight as the Titanium one by the way! If I hadn't found the 360 challenge style one I would still be running the 360 Challenge (race) car one now. I loved it but I needed valves to appease the neighbours...
On this one, been there and done it with Braille (tried several different Odyssey gel ones too!) I would advise again to wait... I'm currently in talks which will see 2 different options which are both cheaper and better capacity than the Brailles... I'll write more about it very soon.
Thanks Trev I have talk to a few people that had the Timate said the same thing cracking . I really like my 360 Challenge exhaust wend I bought it I thought who would make a better race exhaust better than Ferrari no one . I am looking for the 430 Scud tips now
Sorry for hijacking, but I would also be interested in this. The stock battery is too heavy in my opinion. Been looking at buying lithum phosphate cells from manufacturers directly and then build them together to get the proper voltage (like sail racers do), but was discouraged by reports of exploding cells... Don’t want that to happen.
Trev is doing some research on a better battery set up.. I trust want he thinks so will see what he says , for now I am using Odyssey pc925 with there tray made from aluminium, and yes the stock battery and tray are very heavy Mickster Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I use a LITEBLOX LB19XX. You wouldnt know it is any different to the OEM battery by sound, so similar electrical capacity, but weighs under 2kg (15kg less than OEM).
That's seriously light at 1.9Kg but you don't get nothing for nothing and lack of weight equates to lack of capacity. I wouldn't really like to depend on just 12.5Ah LiFEPO4 capacity (they claim 37.5Ah equivalent lead acid) unless the car was permanently connected to a tender. It takes quite a bit of power just to crank the engine and then run all the electrical equipment so it just feels lower than I am comfortable with unless ofcourse its a challenge race car which gets to circuits on a trailer. I ran a pair of LiFEPO4 Braille B128L 4Kg Batteries for a few years now and in the end they both suffered from capacity issues and are no longer working. Internally some of the cells have died reducing the capacity and they originally where 3.9kg (twice the number of cells of the Liteblox and even then I had concerns about how long I could leave the car off its tender and it would still just 'start'. Ofcourse the battery cells themselves you can buy from aliexpress inexpensively so in theory I could repair it myself but it got me thinking in 2018 what's the current ultimate replacement? You can find many manufacturers now starting to wake up to the market size of replacement Lead-acid batteries assuming the price point makes sense. I've done some research and found that already a few manufacturers like Porsche and McLaren are using Lithium based batteries but they are silly prices (to be expected). On Chinese trade seller Alibaba.com you can find sellers now actively encroching on the lead acid market.. see pics. These cost anywhere from $200 to $300 and vary from 3.8kgs (40Ah's capacity, unsure how this is even calculated and if its actual Lifepo4 capacity rather than lead acid equivalent which makes a huge difference) all the way to 9.5kg's (and whopping 110Ah's of capacity). Bear in mind the factory units are somewhere between 70-80Ah's. But there is much more to this story.... A new alternative to lithium technology looks highly interesting, more on my next post! Has any one tried using 303 Aerospace Protectant ?? this stuff can be used all over your car wheels tiers engine bay headlights, it even repales dust makes your tires look brand new.. GOOD STUFF !! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I use 303 in my engine bay. I would hesitate on the tires without researching it more. I use ammo mud for the tires.
there are a lot of reviews of ppl using 303 on their RVs when they're parked for an extended amount of time and don't want the sun to dry and crack their tires. the logic is sound, but i don't care for the shiny tire look and my car doesn't spend a lot of time sitting in the sun so i don't apply it there.
Hey just want to now about your replay Serious deal ? for me ? or hm ?? and f you want roll bar let me know ! mak e it happen
