If you have ever enjoyed the fun of changing the coolant in your 360 (more to come on this) you know that one part is determining a correct level after bleeding and after the car has fully cooled.

The W/S manual says 40 mm but how does one accurately measure that while one is pouring in additional coolant?

Well I twisted a coat hanger wire to sit on the the filler neck and on the top of the tank with the depth gauge set to the required 40 mm level per the W/S manual.

Total length of the downward leg is about 60-62 mm which yields right about the 40 mm required depth.

I made a semi-circular twist on the bottom portion so I could see the antifreeze level rising and leveling to that point as I poured it in.

I'd make the outer top loop for a 2nd model about 2" in diameter to ensure that if it were accidentally bumped it would not fall into the resevoir.
