hello,I had my traction light come on while driving, and car go into a limp home mode engine still running but a buzzing from one of the thottle bodys,A dealer tell me its the ecu,s but i am not sold on that,he tells me they have to go back to the factory for re-progaming,I have never heard of such a thing ,a parts specialist tell me thats wrong you throw them away and buy new item at a £1000-00 each side,BUT IF THE CARS STILL RUNNING ITS NOT THE ECU he informs me ,Am i being scammed. The car is a 2003 360 manual spider with 14,000 miles and full dealer service history,And no, i have never jump started the car, battery is alway on trickle charge if not in use. Thanks anybody who can help

UNPLUG BOTH AIR FLOW METERS AND START CAR, SEE IF BUZZING GOES AWAY...JUST DID ONE LAST WEEK, NEEDED AIR FLOW METERS, SIMILAR SYMPTOMS, WORTH A TRY!

I would try a ground sweep at the ECUs , i would put an extra ground on the SX and DX ECUs as per factory advise.

There are also grounds under the rear fender liner, clean off and resecure.

    Just a thought.
