Has anyone ever had to replace their ecu's on a 02 modena, I might since mine may have been compromised. Would buying the stradale ecus work better than the one's that came on my car.

Please elaborate on 'compromised'. I'm intrigued.

We'll here's my dilemma, I purchased a car that the ecu's had been pulled at a shop and sent to be reprogrammed by a well known international company that many chatters have used including aftermarket shops. Since purchasing the car I cannot get it smogged and have 13 code faults that I found out at our local ferrari shop last week including the secondary air and antievaporation are missing meaning they were turned off. So I contacted the company that did the reprogram and told them I wanted to go back to stock mapping and they said no problem so I sent them to them. Long story short they refused to put my ecu's back to stock due to liability problems since at that time they had a rogue employee at that time doing cash side jobs as I was told ( this is where I fit in ) so they don't have a record of the oem map setup and are not willing to get new ecu's for me. I have reciepts for the service of sending the ecu's to them. So basically they said sorry about your luck not our problem and have a nice day we can't help you. As stated on their web site they have a 3 year warrantee, this work was done 1 year ago.

Buyer beware, if you are thinking about sending your ecu's out for reprogramming.

So right now I'am looking at buying new ecu's to get back to stock for my car to get this thing smogged, It just keeps getting better everday with this car. I have found in the last 8 years that almost anything that comes out of LA is a scam shop related, Have dealt with this many times with motorcycle stuff and I see the car shops are the same. Now the problem is FNA needs a title in my name or a registration in order to get new ecu's, I don't have that due to I cannot get it smooged.

    I see.

You always can talk with other tunners like Driftracer (A member here) or Powerchip, they can help you finding the oem maps.
    Can you share the`codes?

GPHODGE: Sorry about your mishap. but you are throwing punches without being specific.
So let's start all over again.
Would you please state which company you had problems with your ECU mods?

I would rather not list said company but most know who they are, I know it was handled all wrong but what do you do. I own my own business and do not like getting dragged around on the internet from the flamers that rant and rave. So lets keep names out, that's why I did not list it in the first place. I'm just frustrated with how the whole situation was handled. I will put up the codes from ferrari later tonight as they are at home.

to resurrect this thread, my left ECU needs a refresh or replacing. I'm based in the UK. Does anyone know who does this?

    Thanks
