When I was entering a car-park today and going down into the car-park at slow speed, my 360 engine suddenly died and I had to re-start the car again. This has happened twice in a few days. Anyone knows what is wrong with the car? Anything major?

    F1 or Manual?

Apparently the F1 system can turn off the engine at low speed if it feels the clutch is out of sorts.

Its a F-1. So if there is a problem with the clutch, it will cut-off the engine at low speeds? Why does this occur?

I'm afraid I don't know! :) Sorry! Something along the lines of over worn clutch and exceeding PIS Value. From recollection there is a P error code stored if/when this safety feature is activated so there should be something to be picked up by an SD2 or perhaps even an OBD reader if this is the cause.

I've read it posted by respected members who also spanner on these cars for a living so I have to assume it's correct. I guess it's a safety measure of some sort. I understand the most common problem with clutch wear and F1 is that the system kicks back into neutral but apparently killing the engine is also a possibility. I've also seen posts linking the stalling issue to going down steep ramps as in your case.

I'd suggest you try and get an appointment with an SD2 and see if there are logs of the events recorded.

Best of luck, do please post back your experience / resolution in time.
