**Wanted** Set of 360 extended shift paddles. Would prefer the paddles that are only extended @ the upper part (see photo). I don't care if they are carbon fiber/ fake carbon fiber, scratched, fiberglass.....as I will probably refinish them.
Would also consider the FULL extended paddles.

Maybe you have a "lesser" quality ebay paddle on the shelf collecting dust you took off and replaced with a higher quality. Let me know.

After driving with extended paddles for several years, the lower extensions are actually more useful than the upper ones for street driving, although mine has both. The Carbonio paddles really are handy. The lower extension lets you downshift at the same time you are using the turn signal lever and the long length lets you find the paddle easier when going around a 90 degree corner.

So what is your reason for only wanting extensions on top?

There is no reason to suspect that the paddles would hit your knees even if you are in the NBA :)

Feel free to PM us and we'll try to get you into a set of paddles for a more comfortable price.

You would have to have really skinny legs to cram your knees up where they could touch the paddles. I would say it is impossible to do.

Take Carbonio up on their offer. Believe they give an FChat discount, too. I love my set. Would be hard to go back to standard paddles now.

I'm 6'4" and my extended Carbonio paddles are nowhere near my knees. I agree with tazandjan that I use the lower extension much more frequently than the upper extension with my daily surface street driving. I am super happy with my Carbonio set.

Thanks for all of the input. Still think I want to give the 1/2 paddles a shot first.

I'm looking for some extra long paddles for a 360 if anyone has a used set.

I'd consider extended paddles too...but I've got a question and I hope I don't incur too many flames.....

I understand that CF is expensive, having bought several items here recently including Carbonio air box lids but for the life of me I can't figure out what makes the shift paddles so dang expensive......I mean the cheapest set I've seen is about half of what my airbox lids cost and for what you get, I just don't get it.

Carbonio CF paddles in my 360. Pricey but well worth it. Very high quality and really usable, not just "ornamental." I love stock but the original paddles have to go.

I agree 100% with you. I just can't bite the bullet and buy them. Hoping to get lucky on a used set someday.

May be you could consider the paddles from a 360 Challenge car. They come unpainted and the bottom extension, I think, is shorter than the Carbonio paddle.

The cost of parts is something that comes up often and we are always happy to offer a perspective as to why parts cost what they do. Pricing of parts comes down to 3 factors:

    1. Cost of materials - CF is expensive so the more material a part uses the more expensive it will be.
    2. Cost of labor - CF is very labor intensive requiring many hours of labor per part to take them from carbon cloth to a finished component.
    3. Size of market - Because Ferrari parts represent a fairly small market the tooling and development costs of parts are amortized over smaller numbers thereby increasing the price.

With regards to the price of the paddles relative to the other offerings we make it is important to note that making paddles has a lot of waste. In order to get the strength and aesthetic look needed paddles are made up of singular pieces of cloth layered in the mold. As such each paddle uses a full rectangle of fabric per layer equal to that of the full area they cover. All of the scrap from the area that the paddle does not touch is mainly waste. Again it is important to consider the labor component as these parts are not popped out of injection molds every 20 seconds the way a plastic part would be made.

As for expensive our 360 and 430 paddles retail for $720 shipped to anywhere in the US. Compare that to the $3400 Ferrari charges for short paddles or the almost $4700 they charge for the longer paddles of the F458. Thinking Aluminum is cheaper from Ferrari, well it is but long Challenge paddles in aluminum cost a whopping $2000. Let me tell you those yellow boxes aren't cheap. We use white boxes and pass on the savings :)

    3 Problems:

    - 360 Challenge Car paddles do not fit on a 360 as their reach interferes with the steering wheel and stalk controls.

    - 360 Challenge Car paddles are no shorter than Carbonio units

    - 360 Challenge Car paddles are made of aluminum and cost $2000 from Ferrari (compared to $720 for CF ones from Carbonio)

Note also that shift paddles are virtually the only CF pieces finished on both (all) sides. Most CF pieces are rough on the attachment side. This adds cost and increases wastage on the very thin paddles.
