Hey guys, I've just picked up my 360 F1 after it had the CS ECU put in, cambelt service, clutch inspected and PSI settings changed etc... However, the car is finding it very difficult to get into 2nd gear. When, I had my foot on the accelarator (and engine is revving) and go up from 1st: the car struggles to select any gear and after about 3 seconds of struggling to select a gear; it puts it straight into 3rd gear bypassing 2nd gear. When I take foot off accelarator and then change; it seems to change alright (maybe a bit slower?) However, when sport mode is on; 2nd gear is selected all the time without any issues. I need to wait until the Ferrari specialist open again on Monday, but is this normal dependent on the ECU and PSI settings? What could this be?
No excuse for this. No decent shop should have let your car go our in this state. Try not to drive it too much, either get it back to them or take it elsewhere to be done correctly...
They are a very decent shop and probably the best mechanics I have ever dealt with. There was a logistical issue where they couldn't test drive it as I had a meeting to go to and the battery had gone flat! Any ideas what it could be?
Yes. They have fitted a CS tcu but incorectly set the clutch PIS or failed to reset clutch thickness on the instal. It should have been tested before they gave it back to you, reputable shop or not....
