Hi I checked other threads on 'redline' and 'rev limiter' but not seen this before. I upgraded the TCU from a 2000 360 to the latest version. In doing so the following has changed. Old TCU: as soon as the needle _touched_ 8500 rpm the F1 would shift up smoothly without any problems. You would not even know you had not pulled the paddle yourself. New TCU: the needle goes _past_ 8500 by a small amount (maybe one or two hundred rpm), enough for the rev limiter to cut in obtrusively and upset the smooth upshift. Incidentally I noticed the same problem on a 2003 F1 Spider. Question is, is there a setting to tell the new TCU to change up at _exactly_ 8500 rpm? Or do I need to go back to the old TCU?
not a good idea to let the engine bounce of the rev limiter best use the right paddle earlier... all other aspects of the update should out weigh this small inconvenience
