So against mates recommendation I went to 20” challenge replicas over 19”. I though I would take some measurements & weights for others trying to make the decision. I also rolled the guards as i plan to lower the car slightly

    Ferrari F1 360 20”challenge wheel replicas

    Fronts 245/30/20 pirelli pzero
    Rears 295/30/20 pirelli pzero

    Wheels originally on car:

    Fronts 225/40/18 pirelli pzero
Rears 295/30/18 pirelli pzero (on car when purchased) wrong tire size I know

Heights measured at side skirts front and rear (I have challenge stradale skirts but will give rough idea of change to 20’s. Keep in mind my rears were much smaller profile that standard. Speedo was out by about 10klm. When doing 60klm it reads 70.

    Front height stock 18’s 146mm
    Front height with 20’s 149mm
    +3mm

Rear height with low profile 18’s 136mm
    Rear height with 20’s 158mm
    +22mm

    Weights:

I decided to weigh wheels (inclusive of tyres) to see how much weight I added with the replicas. They are noticeably heavier.

    Stock fronts : 19.5kg each
    20” fronts: 23.6kg each
    +4.1 kg
    Stock rears: 24.6kg
    20”rears: 27.1kg
    +2.5kg

    Total added weight
    13.2kg

I have a aftermarket exhaust I’m adding that will shave off most of the weight as well as sparco seats so in theory will still end up negative of oem weight. I am keeping the 18’s also.

Waiting on Ferrari style wheel centers as the wheels have 68mm caps.

After giving the car a quick run on new wheels surprisingly they feel smoother and car feels nicer on the road. Go figure.... maybe because I had 30 series on the 18’s so rolling circumstances was way out. It did accelerate just slightly better on smaller diameter I guess if I were to get real picky but overall I like this more. I plan to drop 10mm in front and 15-20mm in rear.

Please drop some pics of your lowered 360 on 19’s and 20’s.

    Thanks

Thanks for the review. Though you should know that unsprung, and more so rotational mass, has a much larger net effect than sprung weight. I’d be weary of adding so much weight to the wheels, as it would negatively affect your handling, etc... if you’re just using it on the roads, you might not notice it so much, but just something you should be aware of.

I know I know & I agree. More inertia : slower ride amongst other negatives
I was just keeping it simple with weights.
I can feel it in acceleration on the road also because my 18’s were running only a 30 series so much smaller than even stock.
As you said it’s really only for the roads and giving it abit of WOT now and then. Takes all but 20 minutes to swap to my factory wheels if I have a day planned thru the twisties [emoji6]

Those 20" tires are also likely heavier than the 18" ones. You can check the weights on TireRack's specs section for the tires you chose.

How did you get your fenders rolled? I have the same setup but the lip did NOT want to take shape. Tons of heat, a good amount of pressure and really hardly any change!

My 2002 gated Modena with 6000 miles still has the original Bridgestone tires with 18” starfish wheels.
Recently I purchased a set of new F430 ball polished wheels and Michelin PS4S tires from Tirerack (225-35-19 and 285-35-19). These tires are the standard size for the 430 and 360 CS. Plan to install them in the spring. I made the assumption that the fender lip will require no modifications.
I hope this assumption is correct.
    Happy New Year to all!
    Only 4 months until spring!!
