2001 360 F1 will not shift out of 1st and will not start. Battery 12.65 volts. Instrument panel lights up. Pump runs, windows and top operate properly. No click or sound when key turned. Checked power at both sides of starter fuse, ignition switch fuse and F1 fuses (all battery voltage). Charged battery overnight anyway (12.86 volts) still no start. Drove car approx. 200 miles last weekend.

Just found the problem. Brake light switch was stuck. Noticed brake lights did not come on when pedal depressed to attempt start. I pressed the pedal with more force. Brake lights came on, car started and transmission went to neutral. I will now inspect, lube, adjust switch as needed.

I would for peace of mind, replace the switch with a new one. They're know to fail prematurely at the most inconvenience time.
