    Just picked up my 2001 360 on Saturday 4/1...sold 308! Is it normal for the car to roll back on small inclines when in 1st gear? In auto mode,is it supposed to shift that hard?It also downshifts into 1st with a click? Is this normal or am I used to turbohydromatics?

    The car does not have an automatic transmission so it can roll back just like any other car with a manual transmission.

    In auto mode it can shift hard when under hard acceleration and more so when sport mode is selected.

    The trans make noises during all shifts but is usually masked by the engine noise. Try turning on the ignition but with engine off running up and down through all the gears. That is the noise it makes that you usually cannot hear.
