Sorry to hear about this,I understand how you feel about the car but thank God you where able to get away in time...
what more than likely caused the fire is the fuel lines coming from the top of the tank into the fuel rails and the fuel vents. I've seen about 6 360s now that have had to had these replaced due to the plastic clips and what not breaking. I believe scottsdale ferrari (awhile ago) had a 360 burn down just as it left the lot due to the fuel/vent lines were cracked. when you bring your cars in for a service make sure you have the mech check them out.
My knowledge is that cars rarely blow up, that is more for the movies. I did feel some heat when I went back the second time to release the trunk. Probably not the wisest thing to do but I was thinking pretty quickly and thought I would be all right. I do not think a fire extinguisher would have helped in this instance as the car went up very quickly.
