I found a 360 Spyder for sale on the salvage website:
    http://www.eliterebuildablecars.com/auctions/inventoryDetail.php?id=30577

That is a really low price, obviously, so it begs the question: what is wrong with it? Looks like some corrosion on the muffler perhaps, but other than that, I'm confused as to why it's going for so little? Maybe it was wrecked and retitled in Florida? It says SE region, so that is my suspicion. Anyone know the story of this one?

Does anyone know these people? Do you want to be their first customer? Why aren't there any testamonials? Why don't they advertise their whereabouts?

Plus, they have a lot cars that people are walking away from because they are all used up. At 20,000 miles.

    I guess it's possible. But I wasn't born yesterday.

    Hmmm.

    Pass.

Elite is a salvage reseller, they bid cars that are active at auction at this time, (read the fine print), they bid on your behalf, there is no warranty or recourse on any of these units. AND the bid price is often no where near the sell price, they often go for stupid money to people who do not know the market, but like to buy pretty pics. You see even the insurance companies learned that a wash and shampoo will boost prices. Consider it a poker bet, the only people who can afford to make these cars work are the rebuilders themselves and auto recyclers. They can aggregate several units into a car, and sell off what they do not need.

I've actually gotten the car with the vin listed in this thread in my possession and it is a good driving/running car. It does have a few issues but from an operational/driving standpoint is a solid car that drives out straight. The biggest issue is with the convertible top. The cylinder that latches the top leaks and from what I can tell the canvas has to be removed to allow replacement of the cylinder and its hoses. Where are the old style latches that you worked by hand? In my opinion it is a very poor design where the hoses/cylinder are built together.

I got a copy of the car fax and the car has a clear title and there have been two separate accidents. One on the left front and one on the right front. I had my friend come over with his paint thickness tester and from what he could tell the paint thickness is different on the drivers side front fender and drivers side door. With that said it looks like any repairs that have been done to this car were done in a shop that provides professional, high quality repair. The paint looks great and the lines are correct. All the gaps are even and properly spaced on the doors, front fenders, hood and engine hood. The only gap that is not perfect is the gap for the convertible top body panel to the body between the drivers side and passenger side.
