    My 01 360 manual shifter has two issues. Firstly there is a 'popping' noise somewhere in the back when moving from a standstill either forward or backwards. You really can't feel it, although if you use your imagination you might be able to. This has gone on for maybe 5000km now (service soon). The other issue is upshifting (all gears). At WOT and only at or very near WOT it just w'ont give you the next gear. It's just like fifth gear was before I replaced the little thingy in the shifter years ago. Is it possible that shifting aggressively at the red line in conjunction with failing motor or transmission mounts could cause the shifting issue. Both problems came about over time rather than suddenly. The "popping" noise was initially only occasional and the shifting "brick wall" was iniatally only sometimes and some gears. Can the engine/gearbox assembly move enough at full throttle to mis-align things and cause the shift problem. Thanks for your interest and replies.

    could be a coupl eof things for the shifting:

    1) you may need the reverse shifter bushing from Ricambi and/or
    2) you may need a new clutch and flywheel

    I had issues with my manual 360 only at high RPM's, the clutch throw got shorter and it became difficlut to shift. I have not had any popping noises.

    Have you put friction modifier in your transmission recently?

    Shine a flashlight down your shifter shaft to make sure the shifting thingy has not broken again.

    Does this noise happen in reverse?

    Yes the popping noise happens in reverse. The car shifts perfectly unless you are wringing it out.
