I have lost the gas gauge fuel indication on my instrument cluster. Grounds have been cleared. All other gauges appear to be functioning. Any suggestions or options short of cluster replacement?

Have you checked the sender in the gas tank? Locate it and short it to ground. I don't know if the 360 has a reserve indicator with 2 wires at the sender, if so short each individually. That usually gets it to peg to E or F (or lights the reserve indicator) without doing any damage. It would probably be easier/cheaper to replace a bad sender. GL

Thanks Paul for your input. The sending unit has been replaced ( should have mentioned, sorry). We were going to remove the cluster and check for grounds at the connection point but we think that to not be a problem since the rest of the gauges appear to be working .

The gauge never indicated a full tank but it did show all bars but the last 2 longest ones. I had read that it is difficult with some cars to get a full tank of gas so I did not think much about it until now when no indication is given. If I can't get this fixed it will be hard to track my fuel usage other than watching the milage.

We are still having fuel gauge not functioning issue, however, after filling the tank the low fuel indicator has come on in the multifunction screen of the dash. No bars came on in the fuel indicator.

Could I have a fuse blown that should be checked in the system?

Is there a way to reset the system?

I had the same problem, incorrect fuel level, and it would never register as full.
I purchased my 2001 360 a few years ago with only 5700 miles, and I had to have the the sending unit replaced due to corrosion at both ends of the resistive element. This indicated to me that the car sat for extended periods of time with the tank almost empty or partially filled, probably during the winter storage months.
The tank sending unit was replaced and it worked like new.

We think that the problem is with the cluster. Can you have one gage be faulty.

Is there a test procedure or cluster reset?
