Sure sounds like you have had to do quite a bit to your 360. Interestingly, I will say it does seem like the folks with 360s have had a a mix of "good ones" and "problematic ones". To add, my 360 also has about 29K miles on it. Knock on wood... I've had very little problems with my car in the 6.5 years of ownership. But of course, now that I have said this...
NOT shallow at all my friend, like I mentioned its all in the eye of the beholder, some people like white and some prefer blue. Do I believe that the 996 is a better built car, absolutely. Cheers Steve
My boss made a similar comment. He told me that his drummer (whom I've never met) said my 360 is the boxster of Ferrari. Understandably this left me in a tough spot with 3 options. A.) Say that is his opinion and he is entitled to it B.) Explain why that is a very poor argument and give evidence to the contrary C.) Every time my boss shows me a new song from his band tell him that it sounds good, except for the drummer who is obviously more focused on the rhythm of jerking off 2 dudes at the same time instead of being focused on the rhythm of the song. For me, the answer was obvious Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
If we want a Porsche comparison, 360 is like 993 "the last of an era". For Porsche, the last of air cooled 911. For Ferrari, the last of simple, easy to work on V8 cars with engine design which goes back to mid seventies 308. In other words, increasing future 360 prices and demand as years go by.... 996 was a major cost cutting exercise for Porsche, with cheap materials and cheap design (integrated all front lights so they go together in one step to save on manufacturing etc), which made the whole car worse comparing to 993 (disclosure: I have owned both 993 and 996). 360 was a departure from heavy steel to lightweight aluminum etc for Ferrari, but those steps made the car better.
Published ring times/ interesting to see 996 tt same time as cs 7:56 Vs modena at 8:09 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nürburgring_Nordschleife_lap_times
THIS is spot on .... and as for the comparison of the 360 and the Boxster, well you know what they say about opinions LOL Cheers Steve
