Got a customer's car with one of the headlights aimed towards the sky. Shop tried to aim the headlights, and says the "headlight adjuster" behind the assembly is broken.....and the fender must be removed to replace it......is that correct ? Looking at my rather small exploded view of the headlight I got from my local helpful dealer and I can't figure out what part it is, save to say could it possibly be 185554........referred to as the control station or ballast ? Or is it something else. Is this a common failure ? TIA for any and all answers.
Fender does not have to be removed.. The headlight will have to come out.. I believe the adjuster is a part of the headlight. My adjuster on the Front left is broken also but luckily my headlights are aimed correctly. OH,, Just thought of this... I bet they meant inner fender which will have to be removed. It is easy, about 8-10 screws. Wheels have to come off also. Scott
