My heater on a 2003, 360 Spider is always on. How can I turn it off? I keep the control on manual for no heat or a/c but recently the heater is on all the time

The info regarding the stop button in the manual is incorrect. It implies that the SB only controls the A/S, but in reality it also controls heat.

When the SB is pushed in (it lights up but it is faint in the sunshine), you get no heat and no A/C. When it is out and the light is out, you get either heat or a/c according to your temperature setting.

I'll try to remember that ^. It was similar on my F355 and I could never work it out because it takes time for the heat or the cool to normalise and I never knew which did what :D

In is bad, out is good!

I have this problem intermittently on my 360. Sometimes the heater blower can be heard working even with the ignition off (not the radiator fans as air comes out of the heater vents in the cabin). I was once stranded with a flat battery and I'm guessing that this was the cause.

When this problem occurs I can hear the blower motor blowing erratically. The STOP button makes no difference. Turning the ignition off and removing the key makes no difference.

I guess that there is a poor connection somewhere that overrides the controls on the heating control panel below the radio.

Let me know if you find a solution.
