I took my 360 in for its 5,000 miles service the other day and I asked them to aim the passenger HID down b\c it was too high and blinding on-coming traffic. They failed to do so and I called them back yesterday to inform them of this after picking up the car the evening before. They informed me how easy it was to do so I set out to do it myself, no problem... After a few turns of the adjustment screw I heard something snap, then the adjustment screw fell out of sight...great! I took off the wheel and the access panel covering the back of the headlight. The adjustment screw did not break, but the piece it turns which is sealed into right next to the HID did break and fell out, which caused the adjustment screw to fall. I don't know the name of the piece that fell out, so I will call it the adjuster. I can not get my head far enough up in the wheel well to see what the adjuster attached to. If I can figure out what it attached to then I can probably adjust the HID myself and have new parts shipped to me or take it to Ferrari when I have more time. So the questions are: 1) Does anyone know how to adjust the HID up-down level given what is broken? 2) If no one knows #1, then what are the steps to remove the headlamp assembly? I see 2 bolts and some black silicone holding it in, but one of those 2 bolts looks like you have to remove the front bumper to get to it, or at the least the under-carriage. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks, Dusty
Dusty, So how do you adjust the headlights in the first place? My CS is shooting way high also and would light up the overhead road signs but not the road.
Inside the trunk you'll find a rubber plug. Remove the plug (oval about 3" X 4" ) and then the little round plug. You need to lean way in and kinda look up to see it. Use a #2 phillips screw driver to adjust the up/down of the low beam.
