I have come across so many 360's in my search for my first Ferrari.....this seems to be the lowest priced one out there. What do you guys think? Looks like it was not very well taken care of........I would think they would at least clean it up for the pics. What do you guys think this high mile ride could be had for...............I am really not to interested because of the miles and condition but you never know..........it may be a diamond in the ruff...........................

One look at the engine bay and brake discs is enough for me. Disgusting.

I wouldn't be concerned with mileage on a 360, it's a very durable car. I'd be more concerned with the general condition of the car. My .02.

For the price, it may be a very good buy - may be only cosmetic stuff. Any rotor will rust after a few days in the weather..

If a price is to good to be true, it probably is. Wierd interior color, lotsa miles, bad condition, and Florida is a dangerous state to purchase from due to thier lack of rebiuldable title and or salvage. I wouldn't recomend it. You would be better off going back to a lower mileage clean 355 for the money.

Agree, I looked at about 100 cars in FLA & I didn't see one that lived up to it's billing. FLA (obviously some exceptions) is hard on cars...any car.

High miles dosen't always = crap car. If the car is $'ed accordingly and has been well cared for mileage doesn't matter (IMO).

This is never a good phrase to hear from someone searching for a Ferrari...

Or look for another '99-'00 360. $90K is a bit low, but I'd bet you could get a decent one with half that mileage, and maybe cared for better, in the low $100K range. It's winter, and there are a lot of 360s for sale.

I agree with MufflerMan about the interior - it's kind of different and not a combination I would buy.

OTOH, it speaks to the reliability of the car that someone was willing to drive the snot out of it for 7 years. My daily driver only gets about 8K-9K annually, and this 360 did about 7.5K. Nice!

there are many things that will cause a more affordable car to snowball into alot of money real quick... especially with earlier high mileage 360s. wheel bearings, tierod ends front and rear, motor mounts, alternator harness, coolant leaks, a/c leaks, f1 system problems, gotta look at the tires, what kinda shape is the motor in? valve covers and cam seals are probably leaking, oil pan bung is probabaly leaking... etc.

if it's to good too be true, it usually is.

I have wasted a plane ticket to this dealership before. They sell rough used cars.

Been there, done that also here in Australia. Flew to check out a 348, which looked great in the pics, but was as rough as guts in person. :(
Waste of time and money. Bastards! :p

The brake discs are probably rusty because the car was washed than not driven.

Trying to stop myself from cracking up..... lol...... rotors will rust up on you when you wash it and don't drive it, 1 minute down the street and they will shine like new.

It's a very high mileage car, but that alone does not speak to its condition.

Jim Lazzari is a pretty straight person.

So, ask him what's up with services, etc, and why the car was not detailed before the photos were posted.

I am sure you can get good answers.

The brake rotor rust is normal.

I thought someone had a thread in the Tech section about transmission issues (Rebuilds) on higher mileage 360s. The pictures on the thread were HORRENDOUS! Steel shreeded everywhere inside the transmission housing.

Granted, this one has survived at 50K miles, but you might want to search the Tech section for the 360 transmission photos. Scary.

I think the costs for the transmission rebuild were 25K + (I might be confusing that with the TR rebuild that was also documented). I can't remember the mileage of the transmissions, but it seemed it wasnt an isolated occurance. Don't have time right now to search or I'd post it.

Was a regular that posted the thread, one of our regs who's a mechanic with his own shop.

    I'd be scared.
