I have a 2000 modena, great car. Black interior with yellow piping. The prior owner had the yellow piping spray dyed black. As time goes on the yellow is beginning to show through and the dye is cracking. Has anyone had a problem similar to this? The seat skins are in great shape the only problem is how crappy the sprayed piping looks. I attepted to strip the black off the piping but the results are less than favorable. You can't take black dye off a yellow base and llok good. Has anyone had this problem before? Has anyone had their seats re-piped? Or am I doomed to completely replace the seat covers with new covers? I know the cheapist way out is to re-dye, but I'm not happy with that option. Any help would be appreciated including names of an upholstery shop who may be up to this task (I'm in Northern NJ, NYC metro area)

i don't live in the east coast so i have now way of recommending a upholstery shop but any competent shop should be able to replace your piping, re-dyeing the piping is just a temporary solution
