Any tips on how to remove the old battery from the key fob remote for a 2003 360? It doesn't just "come out." Something's holding it in. Thanks!

How far have you got - remove screw - separate two halves then the battery at one end should flick out

Use a thin blade to separate the halves if needed.

Should be pretty easy but as said sometimes dirt holds it together.

I am unsure if you need to replace the battery within a certain time of removing the old one though. Someone else might be able to advise as the last thing you want to do is have to get it reprogrammed.

Fob is open but the battery won't move. There appears to be a very small ring at the base, but I don't know if its really holding the battery in. I've pushed and pulled a bit -- a little hesitant to go too native on it. Thanks.

Ok, I figured it out. Battery is missing altogether. I thought the little round silver thing was the battery. Glad I didn't try to remove it, whatever it is. Probably something important. Not sure where the battery went, but I'm off to get another. Hope it works.

Thanks to those that replied: vrsurgeon, kilocharlie, greyboxer!

Buy the battery and keep a spare handy in case of emergencies.

Keep one of those tiny Phillips screwdrivers handy too!!!

Oh yes almost forgot.. clean the contacts and apply some dieelectric grease while you have it open to maintain the contact..
