I consider myself a rational person and far from a Ferrari "fanboy" but I was just watching Jay Leno's Macca F1 vid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEjuJyjQ8YI) and I couldn't help but think the 360 Modena looks a lot like the F1. Especially the front and and fenders.

I guess that kinda makes sense as it was a revolutionary supercar and an engineering high watermark. Many elements of the F1 (which preceded the 360 by 5 years) would have been adopted as best practices in aerodynamics at the time.

That said, I find the C5 Corvette also bears a heavy resemblance to the 360 in terms of front fenders and hood...or at least as much as a front engined car could.

What do you think? Do you see hints of other cars in the 360? Ferrari Dino too?

The C5 is a fantastic looking car. Far more so than the C6 or the horrendous C7. 360s are among the best looking F cars in 25 years.

918 front reminds me of a 360 front.

I cannot agree more!! Some of the 650s resembles the 360 also.. Recently I have acquired both a 360 and F430 and have to say the lines of the 360 are just beautiful. While the 430 is hot, the 360 is sex on wheels!!!

That is why the F430 and 360 have aged really well. You can't really tell the age of the design.

Next to a 650s/12c the F430 doesnt seem that old at all (from the exterior)

If you think about it a Cayman GT4 is kinda a 360 nearly 20 years later. Mid-engined, similar styling elements (thought not as slippery/sleek/sexy), 400-ish HP...

360 and 430 have nearly identical profiles and, as I'm sure you know, share rooflines, front and side glass, front hood.

I like the big P4/5 inspired inlets on the 430 and overall it's a more modern and aggressive look. I find the 360 is aging a bit better as it's a more classic shape and devoid of finicky details.

I actually think the 430 is aging better, as the trend seems to be more aggressive looking details, which the 430 has more of than the 360. big 430 intakes are awesome!
I think theres a couple too many 355 elements on the 360, which dates it more- rear grill/lights, lower sides panels.
I also agree with the other posters that the swooping curves of a 360 remind me of a C5 vette, and also think that the C5 was the most beautiful modern day corvette- as much as I love the c7 performance, I cant get past its "trying too hard" looks.

Other than both being low wide cars I don't see any resemblance between the McLaren and the 360. Both are awesome in their own ways.

I've had a bunch of Corvettes and none of them built since '72 deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as any Ferrari built in the last 30 years. This became way apparent to me a few years ago when a 360 parked next to my C6 coupe in a parking lot. Made my car look like a Toyota Corolla. Traded it in that day.
