When hot my 360 will start but only run on 4 cylinders and when I put in in gear (F1) it stalls. I scanned it and came up with LEFT BANK MOTRONIC BOSCH ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 7.3.1 FAULT 2. When I dig down it has codes P1383 knock sensor 1 circuit (b2): lw and P1382 knock sensor 2 circuit (b2): lw.
Would bad knock sensors take half of the engine down? Or is this masking a bad ECU? I would think it would just go into "limp mode" and retard the timing.
Trying to get a few ideas before I start digging into this.

    Thanks.

Do you mean the phase sensors?
EDIT I forgot about the ANGOLAR (Ferrari sp) SPEED SPENSOR (Ferrari sp) :D

Didn't code for that but it's not out the question.

From my little corner of cyberspace, I'll posit that knock sensors (177672) are seldom sold here. Like maybe 2x per year, at most.

I suspect something more common is going bonkers (cat ECU, thermocouple, lamba, etc) and then triggering the knock sensor.

    I think you are right.
I'm trying to find a loaner left F1 ecu to swap and test. A Bosch Motronics repair shop is about 10 miles from me. They said they could test it but they need both ECU's, remotes and the immobilizer to do it.

    May I borrow this topic:

Is the Ferrari 360 knock sensor part number 177672 same as Bosch 0 261 231 145?
