    I took my (new to me) 2004 360 Modena to the dealer today because I was still not comfortable that the car was tracking straight. I've been detecting slight wandering at speed since I got it 3 weeks ago.

    They did indeed find that they needed to dial more toe-in and my preliminary impression is that it is better. I have yet to test it properly.

    But the chief tech, by his own admission, says it is "better but not perfect". He says that it is "within tolerance for a 360 with 24k miles". He says that suspension and steering components start to get loose as the miles accumulate and comparing the 360 to my Porsche in straight line stability was not a good idea.

    What do you guys think? Does that "looser with miles" argument hold water?

    My 360 just past 30K and have noticed no differance in tracking since new. The dealer did replace worn rear tie rods but I felt no dfference before or after. Car has been tracked extensively.

    i would suggest, you have another mechanic look at your car,
    it shld not behave like what you mentioned.

    tie rods had to be replaced with only 30k on them ??? sheesh.

    That was my thought too. Lou you said you didn't feel any difference before or after why did they change them? Sorry to highjack. Back to the original question... I think I would follow 3604Us advice an have someone else look at the car. How to tires look are they wearing odd? Regards, Vern

    360 have a known issue with suspension bushings. apparently accelerated aging. worth checking all is right in this dept.

    When I drove TDF360's 360 (2004), it was noticeably tighter than my 2000.

    Mine's got about 29k, and still feels as tight as new.

    Tires are new P-Zeros all round. Changed them before taking delivery of the car 3 weeks ago, so they haven't yet started to show wear.

    I have a 2001 with 25K.......It's great to see so many people driving their cars and not treating them like mutual funds.

    I drove two more Modenas (one older, one newer) with similar results.
    Try driving a newer one and an older one back to back. In this way, you'll bypass the "slowly boiling a frog" effect.
