Anyone know the stock size for the 360 Lug Bolts? A customer ordered a set of HRE 540R's and hes having them installed at the dealer. Now the Main Ferrari dealer here claims that there isnt enough thread on the bolts, only 4.5 turns instead of the suggested 6. The bolts HRE sent along with the wheels is 14x1.50x27. Any suggestions? I find it odd that HRE would make a mistake like this.
The lug nuts on the 360 wheels are 22 mm. They need to be tightened with a torque of 74 ft.-lbs. Is that the information you were looking for?
Not to condem HRE, they are a very good company but you should be glad the dealer found it. Most people don't pay thread engagement depth any attention and it is very important. The rule of thumb is whatever is stock or equal or greater than the bolt diameter. Many wheel makers make that mistake. Just calculate how long a bolt you need to equal the stock ones and order them from HRE.
I don't have the contact information with me at the moment, but there is a small company that will make lug nuts/bolts to your specs. These are the guys I use for HRE/Kinesis wheels. Alan at Kinesis knows the specs & contact information that you need. The price will be pennies compared to the price that a dealership will charge you, even for replacement lug bolts. Let me know if you cannot come up with anything and I'll get you the info.
