Hi all, I have recently bought a 360 spider (and i must say, it does not disappoint). The first "tweek" was installing a CTEK battery tender cable to my battery in the footwell.

Not a very elegant solution, so I plan to install a magnetic hookup like the newer cars have.

I have sourced a hookup and a CTEK extension cable online, but before I start drilling any holes...

Does anyone have a good suggestion as to where to put the "base"

I prefer the front side of my car due to garage layout, I was thinking sharknose or RH wheel well.

    Anyone?

For ease of wiring and closeness to battery and to protect from elements why not copy the f430 Scud design under passenger dash

Don’t put it in a place where you’ll accidentally drive off with it attached, even though it’s magnetic.

Hi menno. Did you end up installing this connector in your 360? I'm thinking about doing the same thing in my 430. Just trying to work out where the best place is.

IMHO the best place is behind the drivers seat in the 430. You can't miss it getting into the car and it is a simple hookup when exiting the car or a quick release when getting in. I put the CTEK on a stand next to the drivers side with a power switch.Turn the switch off, move the stand, and disconnect. Reverse upon arrival. No walking around the car to passengers side to hook up. There are active battery cables and grounds behind the drivers seat under the panel that houses the ECU's, Relays and fuses where the charger cable is attached and it makes for a more convenient place to reach the hookup cable.

Thanks, good interior spot. I wonder if anyone has mounted theirs externally. Eg like on a 488 where it’s hidden on the rear bumper?
