Is there a way to check how much life is left in the clutch of a manual transmission car without tearing it apart?

Only with a very experiencd eye looking up through the inspection plate in the bottom of the housing.
Car needs to be on a ramp with the under tray off and in the capable hands of someone who can judge the approximate wear.

    Here's how you test it:

    You drive it.

When the clutch starts slipping... you change it.

agreed. drive the car. the clutch will eventually go but i've read of lots of guys going many miles on the clutch. if you know how to drive i don't see how it won't last you at least 50-60k miles, if not much more.

The only way to get a reading of how much clutch life is left is with a SD3 computer that only Ferrari techs have...

I didn't think the Clutch wear sensor was in the manual cars. I thought it was only in the F1's...
