Am I right in assuming that the F1 and gated 6speed transmissions are the same box, with the selector mechanism being the only difference? So actually, if you had an F1 transmission for another non-Ferrari application (no transmission electronics involved), you could convert the F1 to gated selection by unbolting all of the hydraulic mechanism on the right hand side, and offering up the manual selector?
