Hi guys a friend of mine lent me his 360 Modena F1 with Tubi exhaust for a couple of hours on the weekend(my brother got married and he let me use it as one of the wedding cars along with my GT4 and a 67 mustang fastback) and being the first time behind the wheel of a 360 I was quite impressed with the power.I can only imabine how quick the 430 is!Obviously a big difference compared to the GT4 but increadibly only a few more extra valves,0.6 of a litre of extra engine capacity and 30 years worth of technology! My question for you guys that either service these cars or own them is how often do you have to change the clutch comparing to the traditional 6 speed manual shift.I know driving characteristics play a big part on how long a clutch lasts for but I was generally interested in if the F1 shifts last as long as the traditional 6 speed manual and is a clutch job the same price and labour intensive between the two or not. Thanks in advance

The whole clutch, gearbox, labour and parts is the same cost wise...The F1 cars just use a normal clutch and gearbox etc.

I've seen both examples last extremely differently, but on average, I'd say an F1 will only do 80% km of what a stick shift will do.

I'd buy a stick shift, just because of the way the F1 drive. But there are people that love the F1.

Thanks Phil as always quick and informative .I actually liked the F1 shift. It was diffrerent and probably a novilty but I havent driven the same car in stick shift mode. The Tubi really makes a difference at least sound wise.By the way I tried all the tests you suggested regarding my hard to shift into 1st gear when the car is up to temp in the GT4 and nothing came out of it.I discussed it with my mech and thinks that the freeplay might need adjusting.I will bring it down to him when I get a chance
