not sure if the suggestion to carry five gallons of highly flammable fuel in your trunk was a joke or not but sounds like a recipe to burn your face off

I will never forget my first drive home in the 360, it was epic!

However I had to wait about half hour before I drove the car due to excitement and knowing it was mine. My adrenaline was through the roof when the deal was complete! :D

Enjoy it! It's an awesome car

That’s why I don’t drive too much my FF or my tr so that the joy stays and I don’t get spoiled rotten

I love that part of the world. I've done the Virginia City Hillclimb a number of years, in a 308, 348 and TR. Cars drove fine from Phoenix to Reno and back.

As far as first drives go, you'll be fine. Have fun, and use your radar detector!

One of my best first drives go for me... was picking up the TR in Menominee, MI and driving to Phoenix. Epic!

    No $@#*!

    It's not the gate
    It's not the loudness
It's not that it idles at or above 1000rpm

It's the fulfillment of a life-long quest and what one had to go through to achieve it!

There are cars, daily drivers, in the parking lot where I work that cost more than I paid for my 360 Modena. I don't even know if they park them in a garage at night. And nobody ever questions anything about them! But when they find out I have a Ferrari, inevitably, the questions, how much..., how can..., why don't you ever... come up. NOBODY blinks when the see a BMW M4 drive by...

Initially, it may be about the cost, but in the end, it's about a lot more than the cost, it's about what you paid...

I hope you enjoy your drive!

Yes normal.... FYI, got a 2002 Gated Rosso/tan last year, very much a twin to yours.

I did the trip from OC to the Bay Area. Got the car fron CNC. The Dealer was asking me for the type of transport I was contemplating: enclosed, flat bed, etc,... and quoting me different prices.
My answer was: Just give me the keys, I’ll drive it back, thank you very much :)

Also, was surprised by the 170deg running temp on the freeway. It’s also normal. The thermostat is not your “regular 185deg” but a 170...

Make sure you drive it often and let it warmup when you do. And hit that redline please! It is a reliable machine when used regularly.

    Enjoy!!

It is a thrill to drive and Its the Ferrari name ... the pedigree and prestige. My wife compares Ferrari and Lamborghini to Chanel and Gucci. They're both expensive brand names but Ferrari is a little more classy like Chanel and Lamborghini is more flamboyant like Gucci.
