Hello. We have a manufacturer in Oregon who just moved there and it looking to make a Ferrari 360 Modena TT kit. They already manufacture a Dodge Viper TT kit which makes ~1100hp, as well as other items such as F355 headers.

In their new facility they can dedicate 2700 sq ft that would be climate controlled and has a security system. Build time would be 2-3 months, and power wise, that would vary as to how much you would be looking for.

Component wise, you could expect new internals (if needed for lower compression), clutch, ball bearing turbos, exhaust, and including the install.

Would this be of interest to anyone?

If it were free, of course. If it's 50k, probably not. Something inbetween maybe.

    Let me know.

Art, is we can get solid interest and sell maybe 4-5 kits a year, we can do better than $50K. Obviously, the more orders there are, the lower the cost. Right now we are trying to garner interest and see how many people would be interested.

For a complete turn-key kit completely fabbed to the car, they charge in the $100K range (such as the Viper TT kit). But for a ordered kit, I suspect we could do in the $40-$45K, and that is shipped/installed, probably even less with more orders.

So Art is not going to be the tester, but we have talked. We are still looking for a car in the NW region (preferably in Oregon) to get the kit made on, as it would be close enough that any potential issues could be sorted out ASAP, and you have the manufacturer support right there.

I think that you'll find that the people from the NW regon that post/chat here are a bit more into the "natural" version of the ferrari and quite frankly John, at 100K most people here would add another ferrari to their stable before they would let someone experiment on their car!

Good luck with the search though....

The price for the tester and the final kit is no where near the $100K mark. We have priced the tester car at $35K and that does not include shipping. For the final kit, we are looking to be in the $45-$50K region which includes shipping both ways, installation, and final testing.

We posted here as the manufacturer is in the Eugene, OR region.

What about buying a 360 yourselves and build the turbo. That way, you'd have a demo car for show and test for reliability. Not building much confidence when you start off by asking for volunteers. Any warranties for the work? The 360 engine compartment get really hot in stock form. Adding turbos will just make it even worse. How is the heat issue addressed? Any changes to engine internals for turbocharging?

Build the car yourselves and have Forza and other car magazines test it.

Hell, even at $35K I'd be much more inclined to buy another Ferrari :)

John, with all due respect, instead of soliciting here to look for volunteers, a better strategy might be to come out to some of our events and talk to people face to face. Lots of NW members don't even look at F-chat. Since you are in Oregon, you should come out to Cannon Beach this weekend where there will be close to 100 ferrari owners congregating.

Unfortunately for you I would have to agree with Cmac above. I doubt very much that you are going to get many volunteers willing to let their beloved Ferraris be experimented on. But you never know. Good luck to you.

While I'm not opposed to the idea of "hotrod" Ferraris, I felt uneasy after reading the long thread about the 355 turbo.

I will talk with the manufacturer and see if they can come down to the meet as they are in Oregon, we are not.

As far as buying the 360 and turbo'ing that, there will hopefully be an influx of money from a French motorsports company, which should bring in between $5M-$12M. If that happens, there will be a 360 TT made.

The work would carry a lifetime warranty and manufacturer defect and the other components would have the makers warranty.

Willis360, what is wrong about the 355 thread? The car has been run on stock trim with twin turbo's making over 600whp. We provided as much info as possible that has been forwarded onto us.

This kit is not being made by Nizpro, but instead will be fabricated on the car. With regards to heat issue, there will only be about 7psi ran thru the car, but we do not know for certain as the kit as yet to be built, and that issue will be addressed if it is an issue. We are not wanting to make a massive speed machine running 1 bar or more, but more of a car that does retain stock driveability, just with about 150-200 more hp. Internals should not be needed for that low of boost, as still the internals are of very high quality material and forged.

Didn't say it's wrong. Just wary because of the cautious responses on that thread.

I think it would be helpful if a demo car's built. Don't hot rod shops build stuff to show as their calling card?

I am extremely sorry to say this guy's, but I am shutting Forced Induction Auto Sports down. I started this venture over a year ago, with the intentions of providing specific parts for the 3G and making some money to fund possible motorsports (SCCA) and/or a shop.

But I have also completely destroyed my relationship with my significant other, and it has come to the point of FIAS or her. I could not stand to lose her, so FIAS is gone.

We will be finishing our orders that have been taken, but we are taking down the shop.

It is possible that I will open another auto-related business, but for now, I cannot have my cake and eat it too.

I hope you understand and can forgive me for this.

I will stay on this board however, and try to provide as much insight as possible. If you want to visit my forum still, I will see if I can keep that online while taking everything else down.

    Thanks,
    John Ritenour

Max Rev has the huge deal coming thru, and if it does as well as hoped, they will be building a 360 Demo Car.
