this thread is funny, so far we have a spider, an F1 and non Corsa/tan being offered to an OP who said modena, 3-pedal, Corsa/tan only. Good stuff.

 

Not a spider but a Modena Convertible (in F1 no less). I believe that this is the first ever "Modena Convertible" available on the open market, hence Andy's funny comment.

For anyone who has been here even for a couple months, you know the interior is changeable, and that tastes can be fickle if the right deal comes along. Giving a fellow poster some options not considered seems neighborly as opposed to contrarian to me.... But then again I'm the guy who posted the red/black 360

 

The fact that the OP used MUST in caps twice was my first clue he had decided for certain what he wanted in the car.

pshep138, good luck in your search for a car close in specs to mine. Unfortunately mine is also one of those "Modena Convertible" models. I guess they are not as rare as originally thought! ;-)

Yes but you always talk up the cars from that dealership because you're friends with the owner so no one believes you. Besides, anyone who says "its keep going up on the $" will lose any shred of credibility remaining. We all know that trees don't grow to the sky and if you really believed all of that, you would have bought it because it's a no lose situation per your statements.

Fchatter Trouts was a buyer for that car and the dealer's unwillingness to answer his basic questions about the car caused him to walk away. That is probably not an isolated incident and that may be why it's still available.

We probably need an impartial third party (ideally a current F owner) to go look at it and give his thoughts.

Anybody who believes Trouts had "basic questions" is from another planet. I've been doing this a long time and have met so many interesting characters along the way and have satisfied some very strange requests from customers, but Trouts stole the show with his inquiry. The cars leaving the factory when new wouldn't have met his criteria. I am a car dealer and yes it is my job to answer questions from buyers and help them decide if what I am selling is the right car for them or not, but I am also successful enough to occasionally (and politely) put a customer in the life is too short category and urge them to shop elsewhere. Mr Trouts was treated fairly and passed on a very good car at a fair price. I don't fault him for wanting what he wants, but I guarantee you that what he wants isn't what i'm selling. I don't think anyone has it.

 

While I'd really like to hear Todd and Trouts expound on what constitutes basic question when doing due diligence, it would probably be an inappropriate hijack of this thread.

Hope to hear from the OP on what he has found this far in his search for his 360...

 

BTW, just saw this one.... Listed as manual but doesn't have pics or listing of interior. I suspect it's F1 though based price. Might be worth checking anyways.
