I have recently purchased 360 N-GT Michelotto S/N 11 and I am seeking any and all information on the cars history. The car was originally raced in Australia with the Prancing Horse team. It was driven by Ryan Briscoe in the 2002 F1 GP meet and John Bowe at the Clipsal 500 round in Adelaide. The car was then sold to Veloqx in England who used it in the British GT championship 2002 (Veloqx won the GTO class). It did some rounds in the FIA GT series in 2002 and 2003 as well. I have a little bit of information from the Australian Procar site and Veloqx's Team Maranello Concessionaires site. Are there any other relevant sites?
Perhaps a bit of a long shot; but does anyone have any information on this car? Any leads appreciated !

Personally, I would try e-mailing Veloqx for more information. You could also try Ferrari historian Keith Bluemel. He keeps track of the racing 360's, 550's and so on. If you e-mail the UK Ferrari Owners Club (see www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk for details) and explain what you're after they will be able to pass a message on to Keith on your behalf.

    You rock on!

#16 is still running in Autoweek. Sigh. It would have looked great in my garage.

I found out the banks are not real anxious to be in dealing these Fcars.

They asked for a friends HOUSE as collateral on a '77 308GTB!

We told 'em "get real" and sought out another way to do it.
    Congrats Vincent!!!

I bought the car from Veloqx via a local dealer. After some time Veloqx provided a very brief race history. Unfortunately many of the people who worked on the 3 Ferraris have moved on now that Veloqx is running Audi's. Those that remain are very busy with the Audis in this years FIA championship.

I am seeking some more detail to build on what Veloqx has provided. Good idea on contacting Keith Bluemel, I have seen his FIA race reports in Cavallino.

    Veloqx had S/N 11, S/N 15 and S/N 2010. The first 2 cars are Michelotto
N-GT's and 2010 is from the Ferrari GT series of cars.
Finance works differently in different countries. Finance companies don't generally like race cars as they can't put a lien on a car that isn't registered for road use. Obviously the attitude would vary from customer to customer.

FWIW S/N 15 was Veloqx's lead car (from what I can gather) and has very high spec and good race history.

There's some PHR testing info you're missing.

We tested at Mallala with Bowe, before Clipsal, after the AGP shunt. Just about 20 laps or so. Also pre AGP with Briscoe at Calder, again, just a few laps.

I was at the Fiorano first shakedown with it....which was cancelled due to rain, so the car was sent to Aus' un tested.....there was a minor gear oil leak at the pre AGP Calder test with Briscoe, but otherwise all ok.

I have a box of parts from Briscoe's AGP damage.

I've just remembered I took about 100 digital photo's during it's assembly at Michelotto. Trouble is, it was on a borrowed camera, so I'll try and get them back from him.

That is probably S/N 15 at Houghton's? They say they have 2010 available as well. To the best of my knowledge they are still there as Veloqx went from pricing in US dollars to Euros when the currency hit the skids. Made for a big increase in the asking price.
So go and have a look, the car should still be there.

Not as hard as it looks once you know how; but it's not as easy as getting into your daily driver BMW/MERC or whatever. The hardest thing is to remember not to use the door/door frames for support as they are ultra lightweight and easily damaged.

THANKS heaps Phil, that would be invaluable. MC also has photo's of it from when they raced it apparently; but they could prove difficult to obtain......

That's the sort of detail I am after to supplement the history that I have scrounged so far. It is in peoples memory now; but in a few years time it will be a different story. Thanks!

Anything interesting in the box besides the bent wheels? Airbox upgrade perhaps? ;)

The parts I saved from Briscoe's shunt are all suspension. There was conjecture at the time as to the cause of the accident. I know exactly what it was, and importantly, what it wasn't.

The US car, unraced, was offered at $330K.

There is a spread of around $180k US on asking prices depending upon specification, condition and history.
The very early cars ran the standard Ferrari F1 gearbox and the latest a sequential Hewland box. The upgrade from an F1 box to the Hewland sequential is 55,000 EURO.
The latest "step" engine, costs 60-65,000 EURO and a rebuild is due every 5000km's. There are a myriad of other modifications that have been developed in the latest cars and earlier cars can be upgraded- at great cost.

So as you can imagine, the specification, condition and history of the car can result in a huge spread of price from "worst" to "best".
