I wondered why he pulled his ad for them at $80, he is basically saying buy a Ferrrai radio or that standard Clarion NZ503 that you buy will cost $220 extra anyway!
I believe it just makes the radio look better in the screen closed position, transitions from radio to dash a little less abruptly.. of course if you leave the screen open you won't see it.

I'm not sure which looks better/worse. I'm definitely getting one, but I'm not crazy about the aftermarket appearance.
I think Ferrari have put very little thought into this. Its ammicable they are offering an OEM upgrade which is appealling, but the execution has missed the mark. Hopefully they will release an updated unit in due course with better integration and working closer with Clarion to acheive this. Other than just placing their logo on a 503.
Mark, if DIY please document as it will save me from going back to my installer if it isn't too much of a PITA... I have one sitting in a box also.
When you installed the NZ503 unit, did you have any trouble using the wiring harness you mentioned? A couple other threads talk about having to switch the yellow and red wires, but I'm not sure you still have to do this with the wiring harness (they may have been splicing directly). Thanks!
The harness was a piece of cake. I just matched the "old" output to the "new" output. I don't recall having to switch anything but do recall that the speaker color codes were the same. It took me no time to do it and I also installed the fix which enables your "passenger" to use the navigation functions while in motion.

I bought this exact camera per your recommendation. Where exactly did you find the appropriate wires to connect it to? Such as the reverse light and reverse trigger? I have a 2000 360 with gated shifter. Thanks in advance.
