If I am not mistaken, you pull the red part perpendicular to the wires. When it slide out you separate the two.
With the help of a cheap OBDII blue tooth dongle vs my launch I was able to get the P1116 code that led me to the O2 sensors causing my CEL light . Out of an abundance of caution I found the correct Bosch part numbers and replace all four. Easy job. What I found was one downstream sensor looked nothing like the Bosch replacement and had been putting out lower voltage than the others on start up. Clear the code , drive . No CEL while driving but on the start CEL reappeared . Low voltage on one sensor at start up. Bottom line replaced all four sensors , no CEL light and car runs better.
